The history of Behringer Eisele, the expert in circular saw technology

Eisele_gesch2_kleinThe beginning of the partnership with Behringer GmbH in 2001 represented a milestone in the rather varied history of the company Eisele Sägesysteme GmbH. And what´s more, on the big flagship metal working shows and expos like EMO, we felt how important it is for both companies to be a one-stop provider for our customers in the metal working industry.

Right after the end of the war in 1945, the founder Christian Eisele and his son Alfred started manufacturing the most various machines, depending on the respective sales opportunities in those times. For almost ten years, the young start-up company built and recycled or refurbished brick cleaning machines, tobacco cutting machines, mechanical toys, meat mincing machines and ice-cream machines. The boss and his son were the engineers, manufacturers and “forwarders” at the same time: they delivered the machines to their customers with their 350 ccm motorbikes with trailer.

The first Eisele metal-cutting circular saw was brought on the market in the mid fifties and it soon became a real bestseller. Other models and sizes followed. The “Rasant Schnelltrenner” (the “rapid cutter”) was one of the circular saw models which provided stable sales figures to the company. The suitable saw blades were produced in their own subsidiary in the nearby town of Wendlingen.

Having a keen sense of the market requirements, Eisele was able to hold its ground among the well-known manufacturers of the industry for decades, with the presence on the EMO metal working show in Hannover in 1985, being a highlight regarding the impressive product range and the extraordinarily large size of the booth.
When the company Eisele Sägesysteme GmbH was sold to the Wagner Group in 1990, a negative trend in the business climate could be perceived in Germany, which, however, soon recovered. Since the beginning of 2001, the company so rich in tradition belongs to the Behringer Group, a full-line provider in the sawing technology industry.
The group´s headquarters are in Kirchhardt, which is near Heilbronn, a major city in the state of Baden-Württemberg in the south of Germany.
The well-established brand name Eisele continues to stand for the competence of the company in the circular saw sector.
In summer 2006, Christian Behringer and Thomas Großkopf took over the helm of the company.
